Do we Drink or Eat soup?

Actually this question seems to be tossing about the Internet.
You'renot the only one asking.
To Answer your question, soup is eaten.
Why?
Because it's not served in a beverage glass.
A straw would seemsilly, no?
Sometimes you see people drinking broth, when all thegoodies are gone from the soup, however that is considered badmanners.

Is the suspense killing you?

Okay, you eat soup. Soup, usuallythe first course, is served either in a wide, shallow dish, or asmaller bowl, resting on an under-plate.
Spoon the soup away from you, towards the centre of the bowl.
Sip from the side of the spoon.
Never put the whole spoon in yourmouth or slurp.
Noisy eating is better placed in the farmyard, ratherthan the dining table!
Tip the bowl away from you and spoon the soup across the bowl toget at the last bits.
After finishing the soup, place the spoon in the under-plate, or inthe soup plate at a 10:20 position.
In Poland, we eat it.
Unless it is clear bortsch or, less likely,broth in which case we drink it.

So soup is eaten not drunk..and if all the filling in the soup is gone, all that's left is the broth..so u can technically say that u are drinking the broth but not soup..and its still bad manners to drink broth..we EAT soup!
